saffron is one of the spices that filipino also use in cooking the filipino name is kasubha we use that for the color and flavor of our arroz caldo or lugaw in filipino.we also use that in making paella and other various recipe.saffron has many uses in cooking and it gives distinct flavor to the food and also gives natural color to the food.

I use saffron a lot in cooking almost anything: soups, meat dishes, pilavs - gives great color and light flavor..

ok tatyana this is one filipino dishes. that i love to cook
CHICKEN WITH COCOMILK AND MALUNGGAY LEAVES
ING:
1/2 kg chicken cut into 2 inch
1 cup cocomilk
1 cup water or chicken stock
1 cup malungay leaves
1 med onion
1 tbsp garlic
1/2 tsp ginger
3 tbsp corn oil
salt and pepper to taste
procedure
saute onion,garlic and the ginger.add the chicken mix then simmer for 10 min.add the water or chicken stock.cover it and let it boil until the chickens meat tender then add the cocomilk and simmer. add malungay leaves before the suce become thick. add salt and pepper to taste.

Btw - I did not use Malunggay leaves before, so I found this page that has pretty good description of them.
